About Us

Mphunzitsi SACCO is a member owned cooperative which is regulated by Reserve Bank of Malawi and the apex body Malawi Union of Savings and Credit Cooperatives(MUSCCO). Its targeted members are employees who are on government payroll and the Private Sector. We are one of the biggest SACCOs In Malawi which was established in 1992 and was registered later on in 1998 as a SACCO. It has grown to the current membership of 15,545 with an Asset base of **MK8.10 Billion and Loan portfolio of *MK4.2 billion***.

WHO CAN JOIN US?

CIVIL SERVANTS

A civil service official, also known as a public servant or public employee, is a person employed in the public sector by a government department or agency for public sector undertakings. Civil servants work for central and local governments, and answer to the government.

Government department includes District councils and Other Government Ministries (Malawi Police Service, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of forestry, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of health etc.

PRIVATE SECTOR

He private sector encompasses businesses and industries owned and operated by individuals or private entities, rather than the government,
aiming to generate profit for their owners.

Non-government; This includes a wide range of entities, from small sole proprietorships to large corporations. For instance, private schools, production companies, Hotels and Lodges, private hospitals, private security companies, Insurance companies e.t.c.

YOUTHS

Any person who is in school from a nursery to tertiary student.

– Parents with children can save on their children’s behalf where the primary account shall be that of the child.
